1 Corinthians 13:6 - New Covenant Lovey-Dovey Stuff: Rejoicing in the Truth

Updated: Jul 29, 2021

A teaching lesson from Real Israel Talk Radio Episodes 82 and 83, Parts 18 and 19 of the 1 Corinthians 13 Defining Biblical Love series. This is part of a multipart teaching series to be made available in the very near future as an e-book and also as an audio book. Stay tuned.

This post is a continuation of thought from the first half of Paul's statement "Love does not rejoice in iniquity."

Now continuing with the second half of the statement that Paul made in 1 Corinthians 13:6 -

"[Love] rejoices in THE TRUTH."

Here, we learn that the kind of giving love that fills and changes each of us from Yehovah’s generated source of all love is something that is available to each of us IF we so choose to empty ourselves in his presence and to become naked and exposed in front of him so that he can fill us and change us with his special generated love from above. Therefore, we must not forget this principle: Yehovah rejoices IN THE TRUTH. Let’s look at this through the lens of Proverbs 29:18, which I addressed in greater detail in podcast Episode 80 and Part 16 of this teaching series.

In English, here is Proverbs 29:18 from the NKJV:

Where there is no revelation (or vision), the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps (guards) the Law (the Torah of Messianic Kingdom Law).

Now, let’s take a look at this statement as it could be understood from its original Hebrew text:

Proverbs 29:18. With no vision (no word of revelation, e.g. Hebrew:"chidush"), he is a person running loose, wild, free, disheveled, and out of control (from the Hebrew word Pey Resh Ayin); However, in guarding the Law (the Torah), he has happiness.

This statement of running loose, wild, free, disheveled, and out of control comes from the Hebrew word Pey Resh Ayinpar'ah. From this, we get the term Pharaoh פרעה. In other words, scripture considers Pharaoh to be a despot, a tyrannical ruler who is always singularly in control over all the subjects of his kingdom. He was considered a god/man who was never accountable to anyone; always running loose, wild, free, disheveled, and out of anyone's purview of accountability and control; a man who could pride himself not in serving his people but in being served by the people. Scripture considers him a kind of free-flowing, I'm-in-charge, do-my-own-thing, and don’t-get-in-my-way kinda guy. But, here is where this gets more interesting.

When we peek into the image of the Hebrew spelling of פרעה – Pharaoh (Pey Resh Ayin Heh) and read it as a kind of mirror image from the normal right to left reading of the word in Hebrew, strangely, it gives us two additional terms. First, the term ערף – Oref (Ayin Resh Phey) which means rigid, stiff-necked, unbending, dogmatic, inflexible, unyielding, and obstinate. Second, the name ערפה Orpah (Ayin Resh Peh Heh) which is the name of a Moabite woman who was a daughter-in-law to Naomi in the Book of Ruth. In Hebrew, Orpah bears a close connection to the term Pharaoh meaning free-flowing and obstinate. So, in comparing these terms, we essentially get some reflective word pictures of the various ideas and names written about in the biblical narratives.

1. Pharaoh פרעה = Pey Resh Ayin Heh: let-myself-loose, do-my-own-thing, free-flowing, out of control.
2. Oreph ערף = Ayin Resh Phey: stiff-necked, rigid, unbending, obstinate, unyielding, stubborn.
3. Orpah ערפה = Ayin Resh Peh Heh: free-flowing, stiff-necked and even somewhat obstinate as in Ruth 1:4 and Ruth 1:14-15.
Ruth 1:14-15. Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her. And she said, “Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law."

Biblical names and their embedded ideas can be seriously intertwined and will oftentimes give us meanings that speak volumes of absolute Truth perhaps even more straightforward than we can even imagine when compared to simply looking at English translations of the biblical terminology in Hebrew. This is where I think Paul is right on target when he writes in 1 Corinthians 13:6

Love...rejoices in THE TRUTH.

In other words, to rejoice in THE TRUTH, it can mean that we must also own our words and our actions as it relates to THE TRUTH and not seek to cover up or hide behind THE TRUTH by lying and calling it "Truth."

Let us start with THE TRUTH as it is embedded into begins The Name of Yehovah יהוה (Yud Heh Vav Heh), which is a biblical abbreviation for the longer meaning of the phrase in Exodus 3:14:

אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶֽהְיֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר כֹּ֤ה תֹאמַר֙ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
I am what I am (or I am what I will be). And he said, thus you will say to the sons of Israel...

The Name Yehovah יהוה (Yud Heh Vav Heh) is THE TRUTH: Take a look at this from Psalm 115 -

Psalm 115:1. Not unto us Yehovah יהוה, not unto us; but to Your Name give glory! For YOUR MERCY; For YOUR TRUTH.

Simply, it is impossible for Yehovah to rejoice in iniquity; that is the bending, twisting, and corrupting of HIS TRUTH with the introduction of original sin in Genesis 3:6 and Genesis 3:22. Yehovah's nature will never permit him to rejoice in iniquity because Yehovah is all about rejoicing in THE TRUTH since this is who he is. Hence, Yeshua's statement:

John 14:6. I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE.

Consequently, in accepting this declaration from Yeshua, we are then written down into Yehovah's Scroll of Heaven or better said, into his Book of Life, as it was decreed when Yeshua said to his disciples, who were feeling pretty good about their great successes in coming against invisible and dark demonic forces that were following them everywhere:

Luke 10:20. Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are Written in Heaven.

In another place, Yeshua’s disciples had become pretty angry about the attitude of the Northern Kingdom of Israel Samaritans and their rejection and dishonor of Yeshua and His Messianic words and actions. Consequently, the disciples said to him:

Luke 9:54. Master, do you want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?

Yeshua’s response?

Luke 9:55-56. He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.”

This principle matches with some additional words of Yeshua:

John 3:17. For HaElohim (God) did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.

This, of course, draws us into receiving the gift of Yehovah’s Love as it is referenced for us in the establishing of Yeshua's New Covenant theology:

Revelation 3:5. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will NOT blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

Yes, with our name written in Heaven, it means our name is written down into Yehovah’s Scroll or Book of Life.

Daniel 12:1-2. And at that time your people shall be saved, everyone who is found written in The Book.

And Paul clearly understood this message when he wrote the following words:

Romans 7:24 - 8:2. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of The Death (the Second Death of Genesis 2:17)? I thank HaElohim (God)—through Yeshua the Messiah our Master! So then, with This Mind (the Mind of Messiah) I myself serve the Law of Elohim (God), but with the flesh the Law of Sin (and the Second Death). There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Messiah Yeshua, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to The Spirit. For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Messiah Yeshua has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death (the Second Death).

In a converse manner, rejecting Yehovah's free gift of salvation in Messiah Yeshua can mean only one thing, at least according to his written Law - the Torah:

Exodus 32:33. And Yehovah said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot him out of my Book.”

This leads me to a follow-up question: Exactly who is this one that can be held guilty for sinning"against me,” as Yehovah said? I think the answer is, once again, exactly as Yeshua spells it out:

John 3:18. He who believes in him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the Name of the unique Son of Elohim.
John 5:28-29: Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come forth—those who have done THE GOOD (from the Tree of Life), to the resurrection of life, and those who have done THE EVIL (from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good but Evil), to the resurrection of contempt (condemnation).
Daniel 12:2. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt (condemnation).
John 8:24. Therefore, I said to you that you will die (first of two deaths - physical) in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die (second of two deaths - spiritual) in your sins.

And then there is this confirming. statement:

Hebrews 9:27. And as it is appointed for men to die once (a physical, natural death in Genesis 2:17) but after this The Judgment (of a spiritual eternal Second Death).

On a more joyful note, there are these rejoicing New Covenant statements giving all humanity some much-needed hope through Yeshua:

Mark 10:45. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Matthew 26:27-29. Then he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is my blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (based on Genesis 3:6 and Genesis 3:22). But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom (after the Great Pre-Tribulation Last Day Resurrection).

So, once again, we return back to the Book of Hebrews and to this specific declaration about the New Covenant:

Hebrews 9:28. Messiah was offered once to bear (lift up) the sins of many (bringing our inherited Second death sentence of judgment into the fires of his own Second Death). To those who eagerly wait for him, he will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation (defined as coming to us through our promised Pre-Tribulation Last Day Great Resurrection in his Name).

We learn from this that IF we approach Yehovah IN and THROUGH his Sent One Yeshua, then a legal redemption purchase is accomplished and applied to our fallen inherited state of being born into this world with THE INIQUITY; that is, the bent and twisted passed-down image from the seed of the Serpent in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good but Evil. Paul calls the fruit of this tree the Law of Sin and Death, because of what is written into the Eternal Law of Yehovah:

Genesis 2:17. Saying to Adam that if he eats from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good but Evil then, "...in dying, you will die."

IN and THROUGH Yeshua, Yehovah has something to greatly rejoice in; that the sentence of judgment in The Law (His LAW) -"in dying you will die," this is legally satisfied by the Deaths and Resurrection actions of THE TRUTH. Thus, the Second Death as it is mentioned in Genesis 2:17 can no longer make any future claim on our soul when we come to stand before Yehovah because we are standing before him in the Name of Yeshua, based on such "Suffering Servant" teachings as Isaiah 53. This, of course, can be and should be to each of us a trusted confirmation that Yehovah's Second Death decree, according to His Law, is fully and legally satisfied, period. So therefore, Paul correctly writes saying:

Romans 8:1-2. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Messiah Yeshua, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the Law of the Spirit of THE LIFE in Messiah Yeshua has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death (the Second Death).

Yehovah rejoices in the actions of THE TRUTH in that he wants us to happily and abundantly receive this Love. By faith, in receiving his actions of THE TRUTH, he then wants us to respond by DOING justness, SHOWING compassion, and WALKING humbly with him; pouring out unto others what he has already poured into us. Again, this brings Yehovah great joy and so Paul writes:

1 Corinthians 13:6. Love...rejoices in THE TRUTH

And again he says in another place:

1 Thessalonians 5:9-10. For HaElohim (God) did not appoint us to Wrath, but to get salvation through our Master Yeshua the Messiah, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him (in the Great Pre-Tribulation Last Day Resurrection).

This is precisely the basis for the following dialogue between Yeshua and Marta (Martha) concerning the physical death of her brother Elazar (Lazarus):

John 11:39. Yeshua said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him (Lazarus) who was dead, said to him, “Master, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”

So then we must ask, Why did Yeshua only come so late on the fourth day to resurrect Elazar following his passing away? After all, Marta was concerned in saying, "there is a stench, for he has been dead four days!"

To understand this delay of Yeshua in coming to comfort Elazar's sisters, we must look at THE TRUTH in Malachi 4:2 (which is Malachi 3:20 in the Hebrew text). The narrative concerns the fourth day expected arrival of the Messiah. However, for the prophet Malachi, it was Yehovah's prophetic word in poetry. Malachi spoke about the coming of the"the Sun of Justness" or Righteousness:

Malachi 4:2 (Hebrew: 3:20). But to you who fear my name, the Sun of Justness shall arise with healing in his wings.

This was a known metaphor in ancient Jewish thought, one expressing the theology of Judaism's Messianic healing and resurrection hope, linking it back to the fourth day creation story of the Great Luminary - the Sun:

Genesis 1:16. Then Elohim made two great lights: the greater light (luminary) to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.

The Great luminary, in Hebrew שמש - shemesh (Sheen Mem Sheen) is terminology for the Sun and its sunlight radiating outward on the fourth day of the seven-day creation story. However, down through the centuries, this fourth day image of the sun and its sunlight came to be understood much like a countdown clock for the arrival of Yehovah Messiah. Consider this from Psalm 90:4 that a day is like a 1,000 years.

The ancient prophets had a known expectation that Messiah would arrive at the end of three full days of a thousand years each meaning that as the year 4,000 began to dawn since the making of Adam in Genesis 2:7, the prophets were looking for this coming Messianic healing of the "Sun of Justness"; that is, Messiah THE TRUTH was expected to come with healing in his wings of covering - a Messianic image of the Hebrew word כפר (K'far) - a covering payment (atonement) for original sin. So, Yeshua said concerning this:

Matthew 23:37. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your sons together, as a hen gathers her chicks under wings, but you were not willing!

He was The Expected One who came as the one sent by his Father to bear THE WORD OF THE TRUTH to the Israel of Elohim (the Israel of God). He fulfilled the theological Hebrew expectation for the coming of the Sun of Righteousness (or Justness) - שמש shemesh. However, in working with the Hebrew vowel-pointing system, the pronunciation of the word שמש shemesh (Sun) can also be read as שמש shamash - a Servant, which is what Yeshua said:

Matthew 20:27-28. ...And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your servant — just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

With the arrival of this Servant, King, and Sent One from the Father, there was indeed a great joy in that THE TRUTH had arrived, anticipating a fulfillment of biblical prophecy that a Just and Complete Messianic redemption for all was going to become available to all who would call upon THE TRUTH in The Name of Yehovah. This was a great testimony widely received with gladness of joy, at least, by the common people of the Land:

Luke 2:11-14 (with my editorial clarifications). For there is born to you this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Messiah Yehovah. And this is the sign את (the Aleph Tav ) to you: You will find a very small child wrapped (in old discarded priestly) garments, lying in a sukkah (a temporary tent-like shelter built for the biblical festival of Sukkot). And suddenly, there was (with this Sent One from the Father ) a multitude of the Heavenly armies praising HaElohim (God ) and saying: 'Glory to HaElohim (God) in the highest of the Heavens and on earth (in earthen vessels), wholeness (and freedom in the healing of man's inherited brokenness coming from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good but Evil), in the acceptable year (a Yovel or Jubilee) of Yehovah (from Leviticus 25:9-13 and Malachi 4:1-6), to the benefit of man!'

With the arrival of Yeshua on the fourth day of the passing away of Elazar in his physical death, recall that there was a short dialogue recorded between Marta and Yeshua:

John 11:21-27. Now Martha said to Yeshua, Master, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask of Elohim (God), Elohim will give you. Yeshua said to her, Your brother will rise again. Martha said to him, 'I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the Last Day.' Yeshua said to her, 'I am The Resurrection and The Life. He who believes in me, though he may die (physical first death), he shall Live (resurrection). And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die (there will be no spiritual Second Death for that one). Do you believe this?' She said to him, 'Yes, Master, I believe that you are The Messiah, the Son of Yehovah, who is to come into the world.'

Indeed, this is something to truly rejoice in, recalling that in the same way, Yehovah rejoices in all those who will hear His Voice, THE VOICE OF THE WORD and THE TRUTH as it is recorded for us in Yeshua’s arbitrating prayer:

John 17:13-16. But now I come to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them YOUR WORD; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should guard them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

Now with this, let us look at the next couple of statements of Yeshua's prayer:

John 17:17-18. Sanctify them in YOUR TRUTH. YOUR WORD IS THE TRUTH. As you sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in THE TRUTH.

This idea matches theologically with what Paul said concerning the testimony of our actions through the congregation of the Messiah:

1 Timothy 3:15-16. …How you ought to conduct yourself in the House of HaElohim (God), which is the congregation of the living God, the pillar and support (the earthen vessel) of THE TRUTH. And without controversy great is the mystery of the Image of Elohim (this defines godliness): HaElohim was manifested in the flesh, justified in (*by, with) the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the goyim (Gentiles), believed upon in the world, received up into Glory.

Here we learn that THE WORD OF THE TRUTH is the Name of the Person of Messiah who WAS, IS, and WILL BE called THE TRUTH forever; the one who is also manifested to the world through his congregation who is supposed to be growing into the image of THE WORD OF THE TRUTH. This makes awesome sense in light of another of Yeshua's declarations:

John 8:30-31. Then Yeshua said to those Yehudim who believed him, 'If you abide (live) in MY WORD (THE WORD that is to me), you are my disciples indeed. And you will KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH will make you free.'

This brings us back to an important New Covenant declaration from Yochanan (John):

1 John 4:19. We love him because he first loved us.

And also this statement from Paul:

Romans 5:8-9. But HaElohim (God) demonstrates his own Love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Messiah died for us. Much more then, having now been made Just (Righteous) in his blood, we shall be saved from Wrath through (in) him.

When Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13:6 that Love rejoices in THE TRUTH, there can be no mistake with the interpretation because to rejoice in THE TRUTH means to rejoice in THE WORD and to rejoice in THE WORD means to rejoice in THE TORAH and to rejoice in the TORAH means to rejoice in THE LAW:

John 17:17-18. Sanctify them in YOUR TRUTH. YOUR WORD IS THE TRUTH.
Psalm 119:142. Your Justness is an everlasting Justness, and your Law is THE TRUTH.

THE WORD, THE TRUTH, and THE LAW are not just statements of some vague concepts of speech or a bunch of words that encompass a lot of general philosophical and/or theological ideas. Rather, THE WORD, THE TRUTH, and THE LAW are all specific Names for The Messiah, who IS the Person or Soul of Yehovah; the Sent One of the Father who came to the nation of Israel in the flesh in order to accomplish a complete and freely given Messianic redemption for all of us:

John 1:14. And THE WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the unique one of the Father, full of Grace and THE TRUTH.

But as it has been taught through the Judaism's of the past twenty centuries, obeying "Scripture" supposedly delivers Messianic JUSTNESS to us. But never in scripture do we ever see this idea expressed because scripture IS NOT meant to take the place of the Messiah of our Salvation. Rather, scripture is given to us as a kind of homing signal to lead us to Shem'a or Hear the Voice of the Messiah of our Salvation; and so Yeshua said to the religious leaders of his day:

John 5:39: You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of me.

Hence, we learn more about the Messiah - THE TRUTH from these statements:

Hebrews 4:12-13. For THE WORD of Elohim (the One who is Messiah - a Servant and a King) is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from his sight, but all is naked and open to the EYES OF HIM to whom we must give account.
John 10:27. My sheep HEAR MY VOICE, and I know them, and THEY FOLLOW ME.

Based on this, this is NOT referring to Scripture (again, see John 5:39 ) or if you wish, the Bible. This is referring to the One that Moses wrote of saying:

Deuteronomy 18:18-19. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. And it shall be that whoever will not hear my words, which he speaks in My Name, I will require of him.

This, indeed, was a Messianic prophecy for the coming of THE TRUTH as it was understood by numerous late Second Temple period teachers of Judaism such as Peter (Kefa) who was a disciple of Yeshua. He said:

Acts 3:22-23. For Moses truly said to the fathers, Yehovah your Elohim will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all matters, whatever he says to you. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.

Once again, this sends us back to THE WORD in Yeshua who spoke to the religious leaders of his day:

John 8:23-24: You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Therefore, I said to you that you will die in your sins (physical first death); for if you do not believe that I am he, you will die (spiritual Second Death) in your sins.

In receiving and accepting the Love of Yehovah, one will also receive THE TRUTH of Yehovah to prove that His Love has taken root in the soul. Conversely, rejecting the freely given Love of Yehovah, this most certainly means that one is thus rejecting THE TRUTH of Yehovah and therefore can expect to remain under the Curse of the Law (Galatians 3:10 ), referring to the Law of Sin and Death in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good but Evil. Of course, with this scenario, there is only one destiny for that rejection: the two deaths of Genesis 2:17:

Genesis 2:17 – “In dying you will die”

So Moses writes:

Deuteronomy 30:19. I call Heaven and Earth as witnesses today IN YOU* (*also against you), that I have set before you THE LIFE and THE DEATH, blessing and cursing; therefore choose THE LIFE, that both you and your descendants (seed) may live (resurrect on the Last Day).

This fulfils the following point:

Psalm 103:10-12. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities (bentness, twistedness from our inherited condition in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good but Evil). For as the heavens are high above the earth, So, great is his mercy toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

So does Paul say that Yehovah יהוה DOES NOT rejoice in iniquity but he rejoices in THE TRUTH:

John 14:23. Yeshua answered and said to him, 'If anyone loves me, he will guard THE WORD THAT IS TO ME; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

At this point, I hope, we can better appreciate the depths of Paul’s words from 1 Corinthians 13:6 that Yehovah does not nor can he rejoice in the עון ahvon or twistedness, perversion, and bentness of what is biblically defined as Lawlessness or NO TORAH, which gives us the English term iniquity. Choosing to remaining content to pursue a truth of our own making results in a futile attempt to essentially save our life on our own terms:

Luke 17:33. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

But we must remember that Yehovah cannot nor will he ever turn away from his own Law implying that it is possible for him to potentially turn a blind eye towards one who chooses a life of unredeemed original sin, which is to be bent and twisted from the Law of Sin and Death in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good but Evil. Once again, however, let Yehovah's judgment remain TRUE to mean that HE MUST judge by His written Decree of Law that says in Genesis 2:17:

...in dying (physically), you will die (spiritually).

This confirms the whole biblical teaching that no corruption can or will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, which is the future Messianic Kingdom of Messiah THE WORD. This is why Yeshua told us to go out into all the world and to announce this Good News of Messiah's two Deaths and Third Day Resurrection Redemption in the Name of Yeshua: His WAY, His TRUTH, and His LIFE:

Matthew 28:19-20. Go therefore and make students of all the nations, immersing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Ruach haKodesh (Spirit of the Holy One), teaching them to (Hear and Do) all that I have connected you to;* and lo, I am with you always, even to the End of the Age.

* Command in English is gramatically linked to the Hebrew word Mitzvah which derives from the Hebrew root Tzav which means a connection.
