As it is with music, language is also sound. Sound is frequency. Frequency involves numbers. Numbers are mathematics. The Hebrew language is a special alphabet (“alef-bet”). Hebrew is the language of Heaven. It is a pure and living language (see the words of the prophet Zephaniah, 3:8-9). Along with the numbers, the Hebrew Bible is also loaded with thousands of “connections” between one word and another word; one statement and another statement; one text and another text. It boggles the mind! The Master of Heaven and Earth is not a magician! He is the creator of mathematics and the Hebrew language and Hebrew is the divine expression of His mind!

On this episode of Torah on Location, PART 13 – we are going to have a look at the Hebraic concept of Deuteronomy 29:19 (verse 18 in Hebrew). This passage of scripture addresses the concepts of the “Watered” and the “Parched,” oftentimes expressed by biblical translators as a comparison between drunkards and those who are sober. But, is this really accurate to put it this way? No, not in my opinion. We will also have a look at Genesis 2:6 in light of Deuteronomy 29:19. The creation story is the template for the human soul! In Hebrew, the term Alef Dalet involves the human breathing apparatus and our connection to the ground – the Adamah from which came Man – Adam. It is from this Adamah that YHWH’s congregation is built as expressed through the Gematria and Hebrew of two important words – Evan and Evneh; Hebrew words that help us to understand Matthew 16:17, when Yeshua said to Kefa (Peter) – “On this rock I will build my Kehilah.
